29/11/2010 - Steni Links Up With The UK's Transport Sector

An anti-slip flooring system from Steni UK has won a place on the coveted Achilles roster of pre-qualified suppliers to the transport sector.
Steni Antislip is a composite of glass fibre polyester resin and stone whose fine aggregate surface is over-bonded with clear resin to give a long-lasting anti-slip surface. Suitable for timber, metal and concrete, it can be installed easily on new and old ramps, steps, walkways, pontoons, bridges and deckings.
Antislip has won the approval of Achilles, the organisation that works to identify, qualify, evaluate and monitor suppliers to continuously manage risk throughout the supply chain, on behalf of more than 700 of the world’s largest companies, such as Shell, BP, Network Rail, National Grid and ExxonMobil.
Steni’s Antislip has been approved as supplier 25877 to the transport sector’s Link-up qualification scheme after successfully completing an audit of financial performance, quality, Health and Safety, environmental policy, professional and technical, insurance and products and services.
Steni marketing manager Vincent Bernard said: “Becoming a pre-qualified Link-up supplier gives us the opportunity to connect to a network of potential buyers across the entire transport sector in the UK and therefore we are delighted to have passed the audit."
